White Christmas

Snowdrops falling outside my window,
Icy drops of rain so cold
It freezes in the atmosphere,
It freezes about a mile from here
Where metal birds strain to spread their wings
And the bluebird never ever sings.
An icicle hangs from the sad crow’s nose
While I wiggle my nice warm toes.
I see the turkey in the freezer,
Sorry miserable old geezer
In a house that’s full with love and beer.
It’s going to be a white Christmas this year.
